Plantronics is a public listed company based in Santa Cruz, California. Founded by Courtney Graham, a United Airlines pilot, with his pilot friend Keith Larkin, in 1961, initially to produce smaller and lighter headsets for pilots.
At present days, Plantronics produces mid to upper-middle market listening and audio gear, including wireless headphones, earphones, headsets and speakerphones for businesses and personal uses. Its products are used globally, even in NASA spacecrafts. Its direct competitor is Sennheiser, which produces identical product lines targeting at slightly upper market segments.
