Sennheiser HD1 is one of the highest rated wired over-ear headphone in the $350 price range. HD1 is essentially Momemtum 2.0, re-released with a shorter, more memorable name. In some markets, such as Europe, this model is still sold under the Momentum 2 name.

There are currently 4 notable models in the HD1 collection, with this wired HD1 On-Ear as the middle child, along with the top-of-the-line HD1 Wireless Over-Ear with active noise cancellation, the more compact HD1 Wireless On-Ear, and the more portable HD1 Wireless In-Ear (earphone).

The build and features of HD1 is similar to HD1 Wireless, minus the wireless connectivity and noise cancellation. The main advantage of wired headphones version over wireless ones is sound quality, due to the fact that wired connectivity offers more stable and lossless connection – and you don’t ever have to worry about charging.

However, if you don’t mind paying $150 more for HD1 Wireless, then get the wireless version as when connected with the included cable, HD1 Wireless delivers sound quality equivalent of wired connection – best of both worlds. Take a look at HD1 Wireless before making your purchase decision.
