The Eye Clock is one of the most iconic designs of George Nelson, who was known as the father of modern industrial designs. Read our blog on George Nelson and also take a look at his other iconic piece, the Coconut Chair. It can be hung vertically or horizontally, allowing it to fit in tight spaces. It appeared in the original Howard Miller catalog as Model 2238, hung on a diagonal. This is an authentic Nelson Clock, produced by Vitra Design Museum. It is presently in Poland.
The Nelson Eye Clock (1957) is one of more than 150 clocks designed by George Nelson Associates, which sold them from 1949 into the 1980s. The Eye Clock is currently licensed to be produced by Herman Miller and Vitra.
